Word Problem of the Day 3.6 C (for 4.14.2020)

Pete has a paint canvas that is 2 feet long and 4 feet wide. Another  canvas is double the length and width of the first canvas. How does the area change?

  1. It doubles by two so it is going to be 4 feet long and and 8 feet wide .

  2. The area for smaller paint canvas is 2x4=8
The area for double length and width paint canvas is 4x8=32
As width and length doubled, an area quadrupled.
